In order for the LGBTQ+ community to be properly integrated into society, we need to normalize talking about their issues, especially in schools. Because when it isn’t normalized, young people struggling with their sexuality or gender identity lose hope and feel alienated and wrong. My name is Joanna Lippert and I am from Australia and Luxembourg. I love doing art and being creative, especially when it comes to my clothes, which is why I aspire to be a fashion designer. A quote that I live by is, “life doesn’t matter, we’ll all be gone someday.” But I take this in the positive sense that it doesn’t matter what you do with your life as long when you get to the end of it you have no regrets. That is why I decided to give my TEDx talk. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
