ISC Research Appoints School Development Expert for Growing Demand in Asia Pacific and the Americas
Arlo Kipfer has joined ISC Research as Business Development Consultant for Asia Pacific and the Americas. ISC Research has tracked the English-medium international K–12 private school market since 1994 and is the only research company to specialize exclusively in this increasingly important sector of global education.

Arlo’s move to ISC Research demonstrates the company’s commitment to ensuring that highly skilled location and sector specialists are available to provide the essential expertise, as well as the data and intelligence, to support schools, investors, and developers with international school campus expansions and new developments.

CEO of ISC Research, Leigh Webb, said: “The right research partnership in preparation for new school development is crucial to every aspect of an international school’s success; from location and staff recruitment, to learning orientation and admissions. We recognize this goes beyond supplying data and intelligence to providing experts in the market and in their region. Arlo fits the bill perfectly and we are thrilled to announce his appointment to support two regions that are predicted to see significant school development.”

Originally from the United States, Arlo has lived and worked in Greater China since 2002. He has a background in law, and has regularly conducted Chinese legal research for law firms. After nine years guiding development and compliance efforts for multinationals in the region, he spent six years restructuring and growing business operations for an English-medium K–12 international school group in 13 countries across Asia and North America.

Arlo reads and speaks Mandarin and has an extensive network and knowledge of educational opportunities in China. Arlo’s writing has been included in ISC’s own market intelligence reports for China, and in trade magazines and journals. He is also a contributor to the leading China business law blog www.ChinaLawBlog.com

Arlo lives in Hong Kong with his wife, the lower school principal at one of Hong Kong’s leading international schools.
