Working at your own pace you will build every tool you need: a criteria document, an impact-driven resume, an evidence-based portfolio, targeted cover letters, a full interview story bank, and a post-interview strategy. Whether you are making your first move into international education or navigating a shifting recruiting landscape as an experienced international educator, this course will help you enter the market prepared, visible, and ready to find the right school — not just any school.

• An impact-driven resume - bullet bank and CV built around evidence, not duties

• An evidence-based portfolio - curated artifacts that credibly demonstrate your teaching and leadership against the Standards of Practice for International Educators

• Targeted cover letters - a modular template and fully customized letters that communicate genuine fit

• An interview story bank - 8–10 structured stories mapped to the competencies international schools prioritize

• A post-interview strategy - follow-up, pipeline management, and a framework for evaluating offers

What is this course?

International School Job Search: Get Hired with TIE is a six-session asynchronous course designed for teachers who are serious about finding the right international school position, not just any position. Every session combines focused learning, honest reflection, and hands-on application so that by the time you finish, you have not just learned about the job search process. You have done it.

The course is built around a simple principle: every session produces a real deliverable you will use in your actual search. No busy work. No generic advice. Just the tools, frameworks, and honest guidance that today's international school market actually requires.

Who is this course for?

This course serves two audiences — and it was designed with both in mind.

New to international education? You are entering a market with its own calendar, its own platforms, its own unwritten rules, and its own definition of a strong candidate. This course gives you the roadmap you need to enter confidently, avoid the most common and costly mistakes, and build an application package that gets you noticed.

Already working internationally? The strategies that worked even a few years ago are changing. Schools are hiring differently. The recruiting landscape is shifting. This course helps you translate the professional capital you have built into the signals today's hiring process actually rewards and helps you find a school that is the right fit, not just the next move.

How it works

Sessions are asynchronous and you work at your own pace, on your own schedule. But you do not work alone. The course brings together educators at different stages of the international job search, and the Connect activities built into every session give you opportunities for peer feedback, calibration, and the kind of honest outside perspective that makes your materials stronger.

AI will be leveraged with tools designed by TIE with our resources and expertise to provide further feedback on your application package aligned to the goals of the course. 
The course has rolling enrollment throughout the year. Each of the six sessions requires approximately 2–3 hours of focused work.
