Students from Lincoln School, Kathmandu International Study Center and The British School came together in Kathmandu last spring for a celebration of music, the culmination of two-and-a-half days of workshops at Lincoln for choir, band, and orchestra for primary, junior, and senior levels. During that time, Lincoln students enjoyed collaborating with the students from other schools.
The music they performed was challenging, ranging from a Swahili hymn to an Indonesian folk song, to the playful “New Shoes Blues.” The finale of the concert was a resounding Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, which featured 220 students playing and singing to the fullest of their abilities!
