Peace You Have My Word is a platform for learners to think creatively, critically, and reflectively about Peace in the world, and particularly on the African continent. This year, participants from Ghana, Senegal, Nigeria, Zambia, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Switzerland, Germany, the United States of America and more, shared visions of peace that ranged from provocative to poetic and transformative. Many expressed deep concern about the state of the world and a strong call for justice, unity, and real change. Let's all open our ears to the wisdom of our learners, and follow them as they model advocacy and reflection.

Africa Unite
Africa. My name, identity, a responsibility, my home.
I am constantly reminded that my name is not just a title,
It's a call for unity.
A continent breathing in rhythm with drums,
bearing scars, stories, and the strength of a thousand tribes,
and a thousand beyond them.
Borders may split my skin,
but my soul is stitched together by my people.
In me, they are one, dreaming forward.
Where Swahili, Amharic, Twi,
Yoruba don’t compete, they converse.
Where the leaders of the countries I cradle, lead with integrity,
The youth lead with modernization and
Elders advise with wisdom
The world sees as broken, I see my people becoming.
Do not just wear my name, walk with it.
Do not just speak of unity, live it.
For my strength is not just in my soil,
but in every voice that calls me home.
Africa. Our name, identity, our responsibility, our home.
