International Schools Unite for #MyFreedomDay 2025

On March 11, 2025, students from international schools across the globe participated in the CNN Freedom Project’s #MyFreedomDay, a student-led initiative to raise awareness about human trafficking. Schools organized a variety of impactful events, including awareness campaigns, panel discussions, and community outreach activities, all aimed at inspiring action and driving change. Here are just a few examples of international schools that have helped amplify the message of freedom, demonstrating the power of students coming together to make a real difference.

In this video, students at The King’s School Bujumbura in Burundi discuss the harmful effects of child labor, emphasizing how it deprives children of education, mental wellbeing, and physical health. They argue that child labor perpetuates poverty, limits a child's potential, and leads to psychological issues like depression and suicide, highlighting the need to end these practices to improve children's futures.

The Lincoln School in Argentina shares their message of celebrating the importance of freedom.

The International School Rheintal’s Global Issues club contribute to this global movement.
