Meet TIE's Editorial Committee


The International Educator's (TIE) Editorial Committee is comprised of TIE’s Director, Editor, and Content Editor, members of TIE’s partner company, the Principals’ Training Center, and international educators. 

The role of the Editorial Committee is to provide connections to a variety of people and resources within the international school community, review articles through the lenses of their diverse experiences, and help to ensure that all content adheres to TIE’s intent and purpose as it moves through the editorial process.


Meet Our Members:


Bambi Betts
is the Director and course developer of the Principals’ Training Center for International School Leadership (PTC) and founder of additional training centers for international teachers, teacher leaders, counselors, and governance members. She has served as Director, Principal, teacher, and governing board member in international schools for over 30 years and has been a consultant in over 150 international schools, conducting professional development sessions on a wide range of topics related to the effective international school, including assessment, curriculum leadership, teacher leader strategies, instructional strategies, faculty evaluation, and governance. Bambi also serves on the governing board of two international schools in Haiti and Cambodia, is a founding member of the Academy for International School Heads (AISH), and serves as the president of the Overseas Schools Assistance Corp. (OSAC) non-profit which offers online news and recruitment services to international schools through TIE.




Shwetangna Chakrabarty
is the Editor of TIE and the Academic Dean at The International School of Tanganyika based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She is also a proud member of the Association of International Educators and Leaders of Color (AIELOC), regularly contributing to AIELOC webinars and conferences over the past five years. With over 17 years of experience in teaching diverse curricula across continents, her career encompasses significant roles including curriculum coordinator, university counselor, capstone/research project manager, Council of International Schools/The New England Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation coordinator, International Baccalaureate examiner, The International Baccalaureate educator network program leader, and Assistant Principal. As a member of the Forum Planning Committee for the Council of International Schools (CIS), Shwetangna has worked intensively with CIS to support the Global Forum on international admissions. She holds dual master’s degrees in business administration and education and is also a certified college counselor. She is passionate about fostering internationalism within the education sector, serving as a dynamic change-maker and thought leader. Her contributions extend into the literary world as a published author with works available through Routledge Taylor and Francis and IGI publications.




Sue Easton
is Director of Programs for the Principals’ Training Center (PTC), Teacher Leader Institute(TLI), Counselor Training Center (CTC), and Teacher Training Center (EAL). She was most recently Assistant Head: Wellbeing, Service, and Global Learning at Ridley College in Canada, an independent school with students from 61 countries. Before that, she was the Director of the Teacher Training Center, and a long time PTC trainer. Sue spent 13 years working with international schools, including roles in Spain, Malaysia, and Brazil as a pedagogical leader after a career in Canada as a teacher, administrator, and system-wide learning coordinator. She has a master's degree in International Education Administration, Principals’ Qualifications from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (OISE), and certificates in Applied Positive Psychology, Positive Education, and Adult Education. She has a passion for learning, and a belief that positive leadership and school cultures focused on wellbeing and learning are vital for student flourishing.




Doline Ndorimana is a dynamic change leader dedicated to fostering collaboration, belonging, growth, and curiosity with over 15 years of international experience in education. Her professional journey has taken her across Sweden, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, where she has served as a faculty leader, English as an Additional Language coordinator, and grade-level leader. She has also worked as a Council of International Schools(CIS) accreditation evaluator and has experience as a university lecturer, where she taught intercultural communication. She holds a master's degree in Child Studies, a bachelor’s degree in Languages and Culture, and a postgraduate certificate in Education. Currently based in Melbourne, Doline works part-time as a Theory of Knowledge and French teacher while continuing her work as an international education consultant. Her expertise includes Middle Years Program language acquisition, inquiry-based learning, assessments, conversation-based learning, and community and belonging work, all grounded in the "Me, We, Us" principle – Ubuntu.





Courtney Primus
is the Content Editor for TIE. She holds bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Theatre and a master’s degree in education. Throughout her career, she has taught children’s theatre, high school theatre, university-level speech and communications, and professional development courses in creative intelligence. She is the founder of Creative Collaboration, a theatre and communications inspired program designed to develop empathy and collaboration skills in elementary learners. 




Stacy Stephens
is the Director of TIE, a former international school teacher and leader, and an educational consultant for international schools. With over a decade of experience in educational leadership, Stacy has held the position of Director of Teaching and Learning in multiple international institutions, including the American Embassy School of New Delhi, the International School of Beijing, and the International School of Kuala Lumpur.  She is an Apple Distinguished Educator, has a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Michigan State University, and a Certificate of Educational Technology and Information Literacy (COETAIL) Certification.
