Online maths-based learning platform Mangahigh has launched its Maths Challenge competition in partnership with the Council of International British Schools (COBIS) to help improve attainment, as well as support schools and students who are currently learning remotely.
The competition, taking place between Monday 1st and Wednesday 10th February, is open to students aged 5-16 at all COBIS registered schools, as well as a number of students from the Federation of British International Schools in Asia, British Schools in the Middle East, Association of British Schools Overseas and schools who are part of the Latin American Heads Conference.
Participating students will be tasked with completing a series of online maths challenges, with each challenge adding to both their individual tally and the school’s total score. The top five schools at the end of the competition will receive Amazon vouchers, and all students who individually earn more than 200 points will receive a digital certificate.
The competition activities can be used in lessons, for homework or simply for fun. Teachers are also able to align the challenges they are setting students with topics they are currently learning in the classroom.
Free access to those participating in the competition, run by maths mastery resource provider Mangahigh, begins on Monday 18th January allowing students and teachers to familiarise themselves with the software before the competition.
