The Canadian International School of Beijing (CISB) is pleased to welcome Mr. Chris Irvin as our new Head of School.

With extensive experience in international education and school leadership, Mr. Irvin brings a strong commitment to fostering meaningful relationships, supporting student success, and building inclusive, high-performing school communities.

Originally from Ottawa, Canada, Mr. Irvin brings extensive international education experience across Venezuela and China, having served in a variety of teaching and leadership roles throughout his career.

Most recently, he served as Middle School Principal at the International School of Nanshan Shenzhen (ISNS), CISB's sister school, where he helped strengthen academic excellence, inclusive student support, and a thriving school community.

With a leadership philosophy grounded in strong relationships, collaboration, and personal growth, Mr. Irvin is passionate about creating supportive learning environments where students and educators can thrive.

As we look ahead to this next chapter, we are delighted to welcome his experience, vision, and leadership to our CISB community.
