Concordia International School Shanghai is pleased to announce that Dr. Eric Semler has been named Head of School. Dr. Semler assumed the role during the 2024–2025 academic year after serving as Interim Head of School, providing steady leadership and a deep commitment to the Concordia community.

An experienced educational leader with more than 30 years of service in international education, Dr. Semler has held leadership roles in China and Indonesia, including Head of School, Assistant Head of School for Teaching and Learning, Principal, and Assistant Principal. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and empathy—equipping students to become lifelong learners and compassionate leaders.

Under Dr. Semler’s leadership, Concordia continues to build on its strong tradition of pairing academic excellence with a deeply nurturing environment. Students are challenged to achieve their fullest potential while being known, supported, and inspired to lead lives of purpose and impact.
