04-Apr-25

We are pleased to announce that after an exhaustive search, Stephanie Drynan has officially joined The American School Foundation Chiapas as our new Head of School. We are thrilled to welcome her to our school community!

Stephanie brings a wealth of experience in international education, having worked in schools in Myanmar, Singapore, and Qatar. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to enhancing educational practices and fostering global-minded learning environments. Her background in developing dual-language programs, including professional development for educators, will be an invaluable asset to our school as we continue to prioritize language acquisition and inclusion.

In addition to her work in dual-language programming, Stephanie has been involved in creating a "school within a school" model, driving innovative teaching strategies, and presenting research on language acquisition. Her data analysis and insights into educational outcomes will help us move forward with evidence-based strategies to enhance our students' learning experiences.

Stephanie shares, "I am absolutely thrilled to be returning to Latin America and to have the opportunity to give back to international education. As a third culture kid who attended international schools all my life, I was blessed to become bilingual and bicultural. This experience has truly expanded my life's opportunities, and I am passionate about encouraging multilingual opportunities wherever I can."

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Stephanie as she begins her exciting journey with us at ASF Chiapas. We are confident that her leadership and expertise will guide our school to even greater heights.

We look forward to the continued success of our community under her guidance.
