The International School of Prague (ISP) is thrilled to announce that Dr. David “Cal” Callaway, Ed.D. will become the new School Director effective July 2025.
Dr. Callaway, has served as the Deputy School Director at the ISP since August 2023. Prior to this role, he served as the Deputy Head of School at the International Community School of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and previously held the same position at the International School of Latvia. Cal has worked in international education for over 22 years, teaching at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in schools in the United Kingdom, China, Latvia and Ethiopia.
On the appointment, Dr. Callaway commented: “It is an honour to assume the leadership of a school with such a rich history and reputation. I am committed to building upon the exceptional work of my predecessors and look forward to collaborating with the school's outstanding team of educators and our vibrant community.”
In his role as Deputy Director, Dr. Callaway has been responsible for ensuring that all areas of the school are interconnected and aligned to promote effective practices, focusing on several key initiatives, including the development and implementation of a comprehensive school-wide approach to Safeguarding, a holistic review of policies with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and collaboration with the Learning Support Programme team to enhance support for all students.
