#MyFreedomDay is CNN Freedom Project’s global, student-led day of action against human trafficking, bringing together thousands of young people across more than 140 countries to raise awareness, advocate for freedom, and inspire ethical action. The resources below are designed to help schools participate meaningfully—whether through student-led initiatives, curriculum integration, global dialogue, or creative campaigns that amplify student voice and impact. For examples from last year's 9th annual event see here. We have had billions of impressions on social media in over 140 countries and thousands of students participate and we aim to further that impact this year!
"#MyFreedomDay is a day to raise awareness about Human Trafficking, to celebrate our freedom, and to fight for the freedom of others. Though there is so much more to this day. #MyFreedomDay shows students all around the world what they are capable of. It gives students a platform to speak up for what they believe in and to fight for what is right. Children aren't just the future; children are the present. This day serves as a reminder to all that we are capable of and that even seemingly small things can make a big difference."

Blue Dragon Children's Foundation Hip Hop Dance Challenge
Send videos of student dances to Ly at [email protected]. "For more than 20 years, Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation has been helping children and families in Vietnam stay safe from exploitation. We support young people who are living on the streets, experiencing extreme poverty and who we have rescued from human trafficking and homelessness, making sure they get the care, nutritional, psychological, educational, legal and long-term support they need to have a better and safer future. We believe every child matters. Our work is built on trust, understanding trauma, and seeing each young person for their strengths and potential. We help children in crisis right now, and we also work to change laws and systems to prevent human trafficking before it takes place.”
