In this episode of the Tes International podcast we chat with Daniel Jones, chief education officer at Globeducate, to discuss how the school group is managing the challenge of the rapid rise of generative artificial intelligence [AI], chiefly ChatGPT. This includes working to understand how AI could benefit teachers by reducing workload through the generation of lessons templates or curriculum ideas, the risks it poses from plagiarism and the question of whether coursework-based assessment can survive as a result. He reveals how Globeducate has created a working group to bring expert insights into AI from across its schools, and why he thinks there will be a need for constant focus in this area as the technology rapidly evolves.
