Chalk Walk 2015 to Mark World Teachers' Day

Chalk Walk 2015 | An Oath to Change, A Walk to Inspire
Imagine thousands of teachers across India and Uganda associated with the Teacher Changemaker Movement taking an oath in their schools and communities to reclaim the moral purpose of teaching, to share, celebrate, and let the world know about what they do every day in their classrooms and do the best!
To bring this vision in to reality, STIR Education launched a one-of-a-kind campaign, Chalk Walk 2015 from September 5th, 2015 on the occasion of Teacher's Day (India).
The month-long celebration beginning from the September 5th, 2015 will finally culminate in the CHALK WALK 2015- MAIN EVENT on October 5th and 6th, 2015 (marking the occasion of World Teachers Day) in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) and New Delhi respectively.
As part of the ongoing celebration, Chalk Walk Oath-taking ceremonies are being organized across schools and cluster meetings by hundreds of teacher changemakers across the country, and beyond.
STIR Education aspires to make the Chalk Walk an annual affair and utilize this as a platform to recognize and popularize the hard work and dedication of the teachers, thereby actively impacting the learning outcomes of children. The objective is to influence millions of existing teachers in India to rethink their pivotal role in shaping our society and the world.
