Gonzalo Curbelo, as the International Academic Director, will provide strategic leadership for the British International School Ukraine (BISU) and will ensure the high-quality delivery and continuous improvement of the international curriculum—including Cambridge (IGCSE, A-Level) and IB programmes—across all campuses. He will oversee academic alignment from Early Years through Secondary, with a direct focus on Years 9–13, and will collaborate closely with school principals and heads of departments to implement consistent teaching standards, curriculum development, and assessment practices. He will lead professional development, will monitor teacher performance, and will ensure adherence to international academic standards, while fostering external partnerships and maintaining compliance with accreditation requirements. Gonzalo’s role will be critical in aligning academic excellence with BISU’s mission and vision, driving innovation, and supporting student achievement through a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
