Drawn by a long-held goal of working in Africa, Bart Kryger is excited to join the Luanda International School community in Angola.

Kryger brings a diverse background in education, beginning with collegiate Physical Education and followed by several years in the middle school classroom as a Choir and Drama teacher, where his show choirs earned national recognition. He most recently served as Middle School Vice Principal at the American School of Warsaw for seven years, after which he and his family spent a year “world schooling” throughout Latin America. As a leader, Kryger takes a strengths-based approach, focusing on building strong relationships and supporting students and staff in reaching their full potential.

He is joined in Luanda by his wife, Lucia, and their two children. Outside of school, he enjoys hiking, cooking, following global economics, and supporting his hometown Seattle Seahawks.
