We are pleased to announce that Sonal Novick has been appointed High School Assistant Principal at American School Dhahran (ASD), effective August 2026.

With 17 years of international teaching experience, Sonal brings a strong instructional leadership lens to her new role. Over the past five years at ASD, she has served as Mathematics Department Head and an active member of the School Improvement Leadership Team (SILT), contributing to key initiatives focused on learner agency, compassionate action and academic growth.

Sonal has played a pivotal role in aligning AP, IB and American mathematics pathways, mentoring faculty through assessment redesign and instructional coaching. She recently completed a Master’s in Educational Leadership through Lehigh University, a program designed specifically for international educators. Prior to education, Sonal spent eight years in finance and accounting in the United States, bringing a systems-oriented, analytical approach to leadership. Her teaching career has spanned six countries, shaping an inclusive, globally- informed leadership style.

We are excited to welcome Sonal to the ASD educational leadership team and look forward to the impact she will continue to make across the high school community.
