Passionate about supporting students and teachers become the best that they can be, Joel will join the amazing learning community of The International School of Kuala Lumpur as an ES Learning Specialist / Instructional Coach beginning July 2018. He is currently an elementary school teacher at The International School of Brussels. Prior to that, he was an elementary teacher at The International School of Beijing in China where he also served as an Accreditation Coordinator. He also supported the school in its professional learning community as a workshop leader on Visible Thinking. Passionate about innovation, inquiry, and modern learning, Joel was involved in a Design Team for ISB's Strategic Plan. He began his international school journey at Cebu International School where he was a elementary teacher, department coordinator and UbD trainer. He regularly represents NEASC and CIS in accreditation Team Visits supporting schools in their journey for improvement. Joel holds a Masters of Education in International School Administration and a Certificate of International School Leadership from the Principals Training Center.
