Russell O’Neill has been appointed Lower School Principal at Shanghai Community International School’s Hangzhou International School. Originally from Perth in Western Australia, O’Neill has been a school principal for the past 18 years, working in a number of different regions across Australia and extensively with Australian Aboriginal people in some of the most remote and inaccessible regions in the world.

His first exposure to international education was working on The Cocos Islands, just south of Indonesia, where he developed a strong desire to pursue a career in International Education. His most recent international experience was working as a Director of a group of International schools in Beijing in 2012/13.
