Altynai is the new Head Librarian at RISE School, where she will also teach English. She was previous teaching English at Pledge Harbor International School, Bangladesh. Before coming to South Asia she taught in her native country; Kyrgyzstan. She holds a B.A. in Theories and Methodologies of Teaching Foreign Languages from the Kyrgyz National University and a Teaching Certification from the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education.
