Students from The American School of Vietnam (TAS) can now take dual credit courses from the Missouri State University (MSU) in the United States, through that university’s International Program!
Dr. Stephen Robinette, Vice President of MSU’s International Programs, has welcomed the partnership, which was initiated by TAS Head of School Lee Yoder.
To qualified students, the new dual credit program effectively offers the option to receive high school credit for their English 11 course, as well as three credit-hours of undergraduate English credit from MSU (after paying a reduced rate and completing course requirements).
The English course is taught at TAS by Katherine Hilborn, who now also serves as an adjunct professor at MSU.
Seven TAS students have already enrolled, and received their MSU ID cards! “When students enroll at TAS,” stated Dr. Yoder, “it is a first step to accessing the rest of the world.”
