Katherine Brewer will be the new Head of School at Shanghai Community International School - Hongqiao. She came from the International Community School of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia where she served as the Deputy Head of School. She began her international career at the Carol Morgan School in the Dominican Republic and became a certified teacher and administrator in Tennessee, USA. Currently she is pursuing her Doctoral degree at Lehigh University. In her former life as a United Airlines flight attendant, she traveled to Shanghai and fell inlove with the city. It has been her dream to return one day and she is thrilled to begin this new chapter with the support of her husband and twin four year-olds. She is committed to providing excellence in education and believes her role as the HOS as one of facilitating success for all members of the organization.
