  10. Cover Letter
My goal as a school counselor is to create awareness and respect for all individuals in the school and outside community. I provide this by offering a comprehensive school counseling program which removes barriers to education, supports academic success and creates a positive school climate.

This year I have achieved this by developing methods and techniques that support the "whole" student. My skills and methods within my school include developing classroom guidance units which surround bullying prevention, individual student goal planning, career exploration, assist in personal and family crisis, coordination of programs (Individual Education Plans, Student Intervention Team Meetings, Student-Teacher Conferences) and responsive services (such as prevention, intervention, transitions).

Working in a diverse, urban middle school has expanded my interest in working oversea's. I adapt quickly to any work environment and want to keep working with new populations and different cultures. I would like to spend the next 5-10 years working overseas.
