Terrorism Threat Monitor Warns Western Teachers May Be Targets

MEMRI’s Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor (JTTM) has alerted readers to a post dated October 25, 2014 in the jihadist forum Alplatformedia in which the writer called for a “focus on [targeting] American and Western teachers in the international schools,” particularly in the Arabian Peninsula.

The writer went on to explain that these teachers make “easy prey” and that killing them can have a greater impact than taking out a soldier or contractor, arguing that a teacher’s death can shake the entire community and even cause a school to be shut down.

The writer further claims that these schools are used by America and other Western countries to brainwash Muslim children.
